30 WEEKS TODAY!
“How your baby’s growing:
Your baby’s about 15.7 inches long now, and he weighs almost 3 pounds (like a big head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. His eyesight continues to develop, though it’s not very keen; even after he’s born, he’ll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he’ll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means he can only make out objects a few inches from his face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)”

So it’s official! 30 weeks today!
We had another awesome shower today. This time it was with the Bolyard’s and Jenelle’s mom (Lynn) from Spokane, Wa. We got a TON of stuff and were again blessed out of our minds! According to the wiff, we’ve made a pretty big dent in our registrys the last couple showers… Such a blessing…
Seriously everyone…
Thank you.

And we're back...
So remember that time we started a blog, that had potential to be really awesome, and then we didn’t post anything for a couple weeks?
Yeah… Sorry about that…
As some of you know, the Bolyards have had a couple crazy weeks. Lots of traveling, friends in town, etc. Also Ian has been working on several different design projects, most of which are for Eden, and a new project for his school district (this is a blessing because Ian will actually be getting paid to do something he loves).
Lots has happened… Ian got bit by a kid at school (this is a long story). We installed an A/C in our apartment. My sister turned 21. Our good buddy, Nate, left town for duty in Fort Lewis. And to top it all off, we’ve had two baby showers already, my first time around that block (Ian)… Not gonna lie, it’s different… But they we’re amazing. It’s really wild to see the Lord’s graciousness in the simplest things sometimes, yes, even baby shower gifts. (pics soon to follow)
The most amazing thing happened on May 28th. Jenelle and I were sitting on the bed, trying our best to cool off from the absolutely gross heat, watching videos of women giving birth *not for the weak, I promise*. In doing so, Jenelle lets out a “Whoa!” -looks down at her stomach, lifts up her shirt and whispers, “Ian look he’s moving!” We pause the video and stare at Jenelle’s baby bump in awe. He stopped after a couple adjustments, so we put on some music to see if that could get him to move again. Sure enough, as soon as the music kicked in, so did he. I ran for the camera, but sadly couldn’t get a decent shot. Fear not, they’re coming soon enough. But it was the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen, besides the day I layed eyes on my bride for the first time in the Portland Airport. To see the bumps, kicks, and pushes of a little 13 inch human inside my little wifes tummy… Now I truly understand what people are actually saying, weather or not they understand what’s leaving their lips, when they utter the words ‘life is precious’…
It’s pretty incredible how fast life moves sometimes…

We had an AMAZING trip down to Cannon Beach this last weekend! We left the urban jungle at 6pm Friday, and came back for church on Suday morn.
The trip was KILLER. We stayed with our good friends Will and T . They live, literally 50’ from the sand. Then our other good friends, Chris and Kerri showed up on Saturday morning. We had a killer breakfast, brought to you by Theresa. Then walked the beach, and got beat up by the sun for several hours…
Was it worth it- you ask? Yes… every inch of sunburn was well worth it. Sadly I didn’t catch every ounce of video opprotunity, but Chris got some breathtaking photos, so he filled in the blanks nicely. (link soon to follow)
Anyways hope you enjoy… And pray for Will and T… They’re going to Korea to teach english for two years, and they’re leaving the country next month, and will be dearly-dearly missed…

Comments/Construction
Hey everyone… I’m still working out some of the kinks on this blog, most of which are involving some coding. I’m trying to add a comments section amongst other things. I’m also trying to figure out what exact layout we’re going to be using. I like this one a lot. But I’m running into some coding issues, so I may need to simplify.
Update to come…

Welcome Everyone!
So here we are… Jenelle and I have been thinking about the best way we could keep all of our friends and family updated with all the goings on in our lives. We thought about postcards/family update letters, or those really odd shaped pictures with five page letters, then we realized how expensive that would really become, with everyone we’d want to update on a regular basis. So after we eliminated smoke signals, sign language, and telecenisis from the list, we realized a blog would be the best way for us to keep everyone up to date, most frequently.
So welcome to our blog. Please come in, take your shoes off and stay a while. Poke around and see what you can find. And we are going to do our darndest to keep this place updated as much as possible. So bookmark us, subscribe to the rss, add us to your google reader or whatever you need to check in, and enjoy!
Join us, as our pages turn…
